SUCCESS AT THE YORKSHIRE CHAMPIONSHIP 2016:
We rounded off the indoor season with an excellent result at this years Yorkshire Championship. Andy picked up the mens recurve silver trophy with both Katie (recurve) and James (compound), who both only started shooting in September 2015, winning the novice archer awards. Congratulations to all.
MARCH 2016:
As part of the Club's ongiong development we applied to become a member of Archer GB's 'OnTarget' programme - and have been accepted!. This is great news as being a memebr of this programme will enable the Club to develop to a new level. Being a member will help us develop a strategy for growth for the coming years, develop and introduce training programmes and link us with other linke minded clubs across the UK. The result will be a stronger, healther Club and a recognised centre for archery in the area.
OPEN EVENT - JULY 2105
This was the first time we had run such an event and we pleased at the geat responce. With a mix of all ages experiancing two hours of archery prior to deciding to join a beginners course and develop their interest in archery further. Such was the standard that Paul managed to shoot a 'Robin Hood'!!!
"excellent experiance" "thoroughtly enjoyable" "very well organised and delivered" were some of the comments we recieved at the end of the session.
HERE COMES SUMMER! April 2015:
On a cold but very fine day some members enjoy the first shoot outdoors. Having moved to new premises in December 2014 this is the first oppourtunity to experiance our outdoor shooting range. And the reaction - FANTASTIC!! The space availalble is amazing giving us the potential to realy develop archery on this site.
NEW VENUE:2014
Just before Christmas ther Club moved to new premises - Balby Community Sports College, Doncaster
These premises gives us a much larger indoor facility as well as access to a secure field for the outdoor season. As you can see the members realy got into the spirit of the season and christened the new venue with a very enjoyable fun shoot.
