Taster Sessions

Our archery taster sessions offer a brief, introductory experience to the sport of archery and last for 1 hour.  These sessions are designed to be fun, social, and to provide a taste of what archery involves, allowing you an insight to our sport and our club.

Key elements of the taster session include:

  • Safety briefing:  Participants are instructed on safe handling of equipment and range procedures.
  • Introduction to technique: Coaches demonstrate and guide participants on how to hold the bow, nock an arrow, draw the string, aim, and release the arrow.
  • Target practice: Attendees learn how to shoot arrows at full-sized targets.
  • Equipment provided: All necessary archery equipment, such as bows, arrows, and targets is supplied by us.
  • Qualified coaches:  Sessions are led by trained coaches who ensure safety and provide guidance.
  • Meet our members: Sessions run alongside our club shoots - so you'll have the opportunity to meet club members and see them in action on the range

Our next taster event takes place on Sunday 10th August.  We will be holding 2 sessions:

Session A: 1.30pm to 2.30pm

Session B: 3.00pm to 4.00pm

Each session costs £10 for 1 hour.  Booking in advance is required to reserve your place, along with payment at the time of booking.  There will be no more than 10 persons on any session to ensure you have full support and guidance from our coaches!
